Sometimes I wonder if I’m the only working mom who is actually happy to go back to work on Monday because it’s “relaxing.” (Try to hide your horror!!!)
Full disclosure – I am not a rocket scientist, engineer, doctor, lawyer or anything important that required 15 years of college. I buy jeans for a living. Ok fine – I run a women’s and children’s boutique from a remote location with a lot of success – but I’m not exactly promoting world peace or finding cures for diseases. I do like to think that I aid in someone else’s retail therapy. (That’s a real thing right??) At the end of each weekend I am completely exhausted from running errands, cleaning up all the things I ignore during the week, going to swim lessons, spending time with grandparents and “trying” to be a good wife.
I wouldn’t trade my mommy experience for anything in the world, but when Monday morning rolls around and I can drink a hot cup of coffee in one sitting…I breathe a sign of relief!
