POV: When the universe tells you to take a pause and re-evaluate you listen. Would you?
This past week I hosted and entertained adults on Spring Break in my home, put on two semi-large successful work events, had a child home on spring break, dealt with some relatively annoying personal items I had to digest and still managed to donate some of my time to give back to our community.
And then I got tired. So tired that it took me a minute to realize that I’ve been running myself ragged and even worse - letting others run me ragged. So I pressed pause and took some time for myself:
✨I sat in bed in sweatpants
✨Read a book
✨Put on a face mask
✨Watched a movie
✨Took a walk on the beach
✨Made a list of all of the things that I’m currently doing that don’t bring me joy
✨Made a list of the things that DO bring me joy
✨Talked on the phone
✨Shopped online
✨Started to purge my closet and bathroom cabinents
✨Organized my week ahead
✨Said NO to things I didn’t want to do
I know this seems like a lot of things, but for me these are the things that I never do, so I did them and I reset and recharged and reconnected with myself.

Olympic medalist and hall of famer @shannonmiller96 was as brilliant as she was charming and it was an absolute treat getting to see her speak yesterday!
Thank you to @quantumhouse for allowing me to be a part of your crew for the morning.
This was an unforgettable opportunity that would never have happened without creating authentic connections with people who fill your cup!

✔️The daily stress of being the mom, the employee, the parental caregiver and the only child.
Yes, this weekend was fun! Instagram allows me to show you a sliver of life - but the real work takes place behind the scenes. Remember that as you scroll today.
And always look for the silver lining in every situation. There is a reason things happen the way they do! Life is a constant learning process! Let the things that happen guide and teach you to be more prepared next time!

This is a year about being intentional
And I’m going to intentionally be making an appointment to refresh my Botox and filler 😂🤷‍♀️
But real talk… I have a job that I love and have collected new friends, relationships and partnerships this past year that continue to fill my cup and keep it over flowing.
Age is literally just a number and LIFE is what you make of it. I don’t wait for things to happen around me. I seek out experiences and knowledge and I ask for things that I want.
I set personal and professional goals and I speak them out loud so that I can’t back away from going after them.
Don’t ever hide behind things you think you can’t do. You can literally do whatever you want - you just have to go out and get after it!
Nothing I’ve accomplished has been handed to me. I worked for every.single.thing that I have - my home, my job, and my relationships.
I am empowering you to let go of whatever is holding you back from going after what you want. Life can start whenever you choose to let it!
And remember these core principles:
🌱Be Kind - no matter what
🌱Give back to your community
🌱Don’t talk poorly about others - it just makes you look bad
🌱Find people who fill your cup and fill theirs right back
🌱Have fun, life is short and you never know what’s lurking around the corner
🌱Take chances - the best rewards come from the biggest risks

My word for 2023. What is yours?
I spent the last two years reinventing myself and growing my career, business, knowledge and network.✔️🌿
I got uncomfortable and learned an entirely new industry and had to prove to myself (and others) that I actually do know what I’m doing.
My confidence came back, I realized that I’m the one making these things happen and now it’s time to be very specific with every decision.
In 2023 I’m asking these question every time:
𝙳𝚘𝚎𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚌𝚑𝚘𝚒𝚌𝚎 𝚐𝚎𝚝 𝚖𝚎 𝚌𝚕𝚘𝚜𝚎𝚛 𝚝𝚘 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚌𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚖𝚢 𝚐𝚘𝚊𝚕?

Does anyone else cringe every time the family asks

Does anyone else cringe every time the family asks: What’s for Dinner? Like it’s only my job to figure this out? 🤔
I’m passing the baton on the “What’s For Dinner” convo and sharing the responsibility moving forward but I’m willing to take turns so that I can work one of my favorite meals into the mix. 💯
I am a die hard Sausage and Peppers fan! I love this dish in the Fall because it’s quick, easy and filling for everyone on the go. I serve it with some crusty bread for sopping up the sauce and I love the leftovers on top of salad or with a side of scrambled eggs. This dish has no limits with regards to leftovers and if you know me - I’m all about repurposing our meals to get through the week!
Keep scrolling for my recipe using my favorite @premiofoods Sweet Italian Sausage ✨Gluten free, msg free, no fillers and healthy!
RECIPE 🚨
1 lb of Premio Foods Sweet Italian Sausage
1 Sweet Red Pepper sliced into strips
1 Sweet Yellow Pepper sliced into strips
2 Medium Yellow Onion sliced into strips
4 cloves of garlic
3T tomato paste
1 can of diced tomatoes - I use low sodium
1 cup of red wine
1t dried oregano
1/2 cup of fresh basil chopped
Salt and Pepper to taste - the sausage is salty so taste before you season
1 pinch of crushed red pepper flakes if you like heat
Cook the sausage whole according to the directions on the package and then set aside.
In the same pan, put the peppers and onions in and cook until soft - about 8-10 minutes - add a dash of salt and pepper
Add the garlic and herbs and cook a few more minutes
Add the tomato paste and stir to combine and then immediate add the red wine and diced tomatoes. Use your spoon to scrape up anything that is sticking to the bottom of the pan.
Slice the browned sausage and add back to the pan and bring the mixture to a boil and then cover and turn down the heat to simmer for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes remove the lid and let it cook another 10 minutes so the sauce thickens.
Serve immediately in bowls with a fresh salad on the side and a few slices of crusty bread.

I can honestly say that you make time to do the things that you love and I love fashion and retail and the rush that comes when I get to help someone feel good about how they look. 🙋‍♀️

My daily wellness routine.
I can’t function if I don’t start my day off on the right foot. For me that means waking up early, drinking lots of water with @sakaralife Beauty Water Drops which supplements my intake of essential minerals.
Next a cup of decaf coffee with Metabolism super power helps me reduce daily bloat and curbs my afternoon sugar cravings.
I always squeeze in a morning workout whether it’s a power walk around my neighborhood or a @melissawoodhealth video. She has some short ones for days when I have less time.
I end my day with daily detox drops. These help rid my body of toxins and bonus tip… I always make sure to take an extra dropper after nights where I’ve had a few 🍸- they are a great way to prevent that morning after alcohol haze!
